Wendy-Jo Johnson is a native of New
Jersey. She attended Cazenovia College in New York and
University of Maryland in College Park, MD, and graduated with a
BS Degree in Journalism. She has over 20 years of experience in
the recording and entertainment business providing sales,
marketing and promotions for artists.
She has worked for
Atlantic Records in New York and PolyGram Records and Universal
Music in the Washington, DC area. In addition, she also has
experience in Federal Government meeting and conference
planning. She is currently employed by National Public Radio in
Washington, DC. Wendy-Jo is the past President of the Mid
Atlantic Chapter of the Africa Travel Association where she was
responsible for the promotion of tourism and travel to the
continent of Africa.
The concept of Age of Awareness, Inc. was
first inspired by her first family trip to the continent of
Africa in 1996. Her African travels include: Egypt, Ghana,
Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Guinea, Morocco
and Cameroon. Other travels include: Dubai, Spain, Italy,
Jamaica, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Venezuela, Puerto
Rico, St. Maarten, St. Thomas and the Cayman Islands.
