"I am forever grateful to Age of Awareness (AOA) for their unwavering commitment to empowering education in under-resourced communities. For over a decade, AOA has consistently provided vital support to my students and me, bridging the gap in educational resources.
Their generosity extends beyond mere donations; it's a testament to their dedication to fostering a love of learning. AOA's contributions have:
- Enhanced our classroom experience with essential school supplies
- Inspired students to reach their full potential
- Demonstrated the value of community and social responsibility
Their in-person visits have allowed them to connect with students, understand our needs, and tailor their support. This genuine interest has created lasting relationships and a sense of belonging.
Well done. Well done

Age of Awareness(AOA) made a great contribution to the development of teaching and learning in Archbishop Ammisah Memorial School in Cape Coast. AOA had equipped the school library with a lot of books. The school received a lot of school supplies from AOA for several years. Again, many toys, games and sports materials were other things the school benefited from AOA. The AOA visits to the school and interaction with teachers and students are things we appreciated so much. When the school received The School of the Year award in 2020, almost everybody in the school had something from AOA to boast of. We are proud of you and are happy to be a beneficiary of your kind gesture. We are looking forward to your next visit when we shall sing the Lift Every Voice anthem with you.
Wendy Johnson, I Moses Abbey want to commend you and your team of AOA for the good work of consistently supplying learning materials to schools in Ghana for the past years...It's a noble course and God will richly bless you all.

Traveling to Ghana with the Age of Awareness was truly the trip of a lifetime, one that touched my heart in ways I could have never anticipated. Every step of the journey revealed a culture rich in connection, joy, and resilience, and it was clear that lasting bonds had been created over the years.
One of the most heartwarming parts of the visit was witnessing the close relationships between Ms. Wendy—affectionately called “Mommy Wendy” by the students and teachers—and the schools. The mutual respect and love were evident, with everyone greeting her like family. Through her dedication, Ms. Wendy has been able to support these schools with community donations, sending everything from school supplies and playground equipment to computers, making a lasting difference in these students' lives.
Visiting these schools underscored the importance of education as a tool for growth and joy. It was inspiring to see the students and teachers making the most of what they have, working together to create a nurturing learning environment.
This is an experience I truly believe everyone should have. To anyone who has the opportunity, I cannot recommend a visit enough—it will open your heart and broaden your perspective in the most unexpected ways.

Travel has a way of opening our eyes, but nothing could have prepared me for the profound experience of visiting Ghana with the Age of Awareness. We often read about other cultures or see images online, yet being there in person changes everything. Ghana showed me a way of life that, while having so much less in material terms, was filled with peace, joy, and a spirit of generosity I’ll never forget.
During our visit, we spent time at three different schools. Walking into the first one, I was struck by the lack of books—something we often take for granted in classrooms. And yet, what stood out even more was the dedication of the teachers and the eagerness of the students. They made the most of what they had, and their warmth and enthusiasm were undeniable.
The last two schools we visited did have some teaching supplies, and they received the Age of Awareness materials with open arms. It was clear these supplies were greatly needed, and seeing the smiles on the students’ faces as they looked through the new materials was incredibly rewarding.
One of the most touching moments came when the students honored us with a beautiful display of songs and dances. Their pride in their culture and the happiness they found in expressing it was contagious.
Ghana reminded me of the resilience and warmth of people, no matter the circumstances. It was a humbling experience, and I left with a sense of gratitude and admiration for the community I encountered—a people who, with so much less, had an abundance of joy and kindness to share.
I am so glad that you and Ted made the trip with AOA. Thank you for you support. You both were a blessing to the students!
We have been so impressed with the work done by Age of Awareness, especially by our friend Wendy Jo-Johnson. She continues to use her time, talent, and treasure to travel to and assist those who are less fortunate. She is indeed a true example of a strong woman doing God's work. We are blessed to call her a friend.
